Vermiculite 100l

Expanded vermiculite is a silicate of aluminum oxide and magnesium oxide. It is of natural origin, but is produced by heating to such temperatures that the material does not melt but expands. Vermiculite is a type of expanded "mica" and breaks down easily into sheets.

This material is very good for lifting a substrate, to give it a less compact consistency. However, it ages and settles fairly quickly, so it will be put to good use for plants that are often repotted.

We also recommend pouring vermiculite in the bottom of your greenhouse during the germination and cuttings phase.

It ensures high humidity in the mini-greenhouse, and also prevents the cuttings from rotting.

Vermiculite has the property of gradually releasing magnesium

Vermiculite is biodegradable.
